Why and How I work a 4-day working week

February 3, 2022

In 2021 I moved to work a 4-day working week.  Too many entrepreneurs go the other way and work a lot longer than the average 40-hour workweek, so in this episode, I want to share with you WHY I chose to move to 4-days a week and HOW I am managing to make it happen.

WHY did I decide to work a 4-day working week?

I have tried (and failed) this before, so what did I do differently this time?

A key tip is to have another project to focus on

[05:45]

Have clear boundaries with clients and get the right mindset

[06:45]

The importance of organisation (so you don’t end up working 4 x 10 hour days)

[07:22]

Use the 4Ds (Ditch, Delegate, Defer, Do it) to help prioritse your tasks

[08:03]

Keep meetings to 30 mins (which really focuses all the people in the meeting)

[08:57]

Learn to say NO

[09:26]

Communicate effectively to your team and your clients

[10:40]

Give your team the tools & training to effectively work a 4-day week (without working longer hours!)
